We ask each attendee to be a part of changing Sacramento and commit to one of the following community nonprofits:

The Sacramento Region Community Foundation is committed to expanding philanthropic activity by connecting people who want to give with nonprofits who do good work. Website

Hands On Sacramento is a program of the Community Services Planning Council that organizes volunteer opportunities to match the schedules of busy individuals, families, groups and businesses. Website

Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services is dedicated to assisting those in need by alleviating their immediate pain and problems, and moving them toward self sufficiency and financial independence. Website

Admission to "Together We Can" is free, but we ask that each attendee complete one act of philanthropy:

I will bring a can of food to deposit in the collection bins
outside the swearing in ceremony.
I will donate online to the "community's greatest need fund"
at the Sacramento Regional Community Foundation.
I pledge to donate time to Hands On Sacramento, where I
will choose between over 100 projects in need of help.
I am already an active member of my community
and I would like to attend.
