Entertainment & Sports Complex

As Mayor, it is my job to encourage alternative funding options for bringing a multi-purpose entertainment venue to the City of Sacramento for the purpose of encouraging tourism, creating jobs, and providing needed revenue.

As such, I have created the Sacramento First Citizens' Task Force, a 12-member team comprised of a diverse and bi-partisan group of experts in the fields of design, law, finance, arts, labor, development, and communications working on a volunteer basis to evaluate options for a new entertainment and sports complex in Sacramento. The Task Force has released its Request for Offerings, and the proposals it receives will be evaluated based on four key principles called the "Rules of the Game".
